Having received my training directly from USGBC and GBCI and participated in hundreds of certification reviews, I can guide your project team through certification with confidence. My experience includes LEED for New Construction/BD+C, Schools, and Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance, current and previous versions, using LEED Online versions 2 and 3. My background and education in environmental science and sustainability will help you develop your sustainability initiatives. My work in residential and commercial construction, all the way from digging to framing to roofing, means I understand the issues your contractors and subs are dealing with. I’ll do the LEED paperwork so your designers and builders can focus on designing and building.
Here are some of the things A.C.E. AmBiental can do for you:
- Facilitate an initial LEED charette
- Act as liaison between you and the Green Building Certification Institute
- Review your project design for LEED compatibility
- Identify achieved prerequisites and credits, and actions needed to close gaps
- Identify additional credits and assist your project team in selecting the best ones for the project
- Identify potential Innovation in Design, Exemplary Performance, and Regional Priority credits
- Identify signature authorities for project team members
- Develop a LEED task matrix for project team members
- Complete GBCI registration paperwork
- Serve as point person for coordinating LEED issues among your project team
- Respond to communications from GBCI and certification review team
- Develop LEED-specific documentation for you and your clients (e.g. tenant guidelines,
educational material, etc.) - Assemble preliminary and final design and construction submittal documentation and manage
LEED Online Project Information, Prerequisite and Credit Forms - Submit design and construction applications to GBCI
- Track status of LEED goals
- Assist your design and construction teams on selection of materials
- Assist in educating design team members and builders on green building issues
- Review drafts of plans (e.g. Construction Waste Management Plan) where applicable
- Submit project team responses to preliminary and final reviews
- Develop Credit Interpretation Requests and appeals if needed
- Provide on-call LEED technical support to your project team
